Environment and health indicators

WHO's work produced a methodological guidance to generate key environmental health indicators linked with assessment and reporting mechanisms. This guidance, based on state-of-the-art scientific evidence, contributes to the overall evidence base for health policies in the WHO European Region both in terms of indicators and knowledge infrastructure.

Together with the methodological developments, WHO established a network of collaborating partners in Member States as the foundations of an operational mechanism for monitoring and reporting that enables effective transfer of scientific knowledge in the policy debate.
