This collection of 68 community and research/monitoring initiatives from 21 European countries¹ is meant to share experiences in planning and implementing interventions to improve children’s health and environment. The focus is on actions carried out at both local and national level, as well as on highlighting the practical elements that led to success. Useful tools and resources that aided the implementation of the given action are also documented when available.

The 44 community initiatives are interventions addressing one or more of the 15 environmental risk factors covered by the CEHAPE Table of Actions (a menu of actions proven to be effective in protecting children’s health and environment that was developed with the contribution of Member States, international agencies and NGOs). The other 24 experiences are research or monitoring initiatives.Book cover Russian version
