Marina Karanikolos

Marina Karanikolos is a Technical Officer/Research Fellow at the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, based at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her expertise includes international comparisons of population health indicators and trends, the impact of the economic crisis and austerity on health, and health systems performance assessment. She is part of the editorial team of the Health Systems in Transition (HiT) profiles and the Health Systems and Policy Monitor platform. Marina holds a master’s degree in public health from King’s College London. Previously she worked in health intelligence and health service commissioning for the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom.
