The “Preventing noncommunicable diseases, promoting healthy lifestyle and support to modernization of the health system in Belarus 2016–2019” project, also referred to as BELMED, was initiated in 2016. It is funded by the European Union and implemented by the Ministry of Health of Belarus in collaboration with UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA and WHO.
The Twelfth General Programme of Work provides a high-level strategic vision for the work of WHO for the period 2014–2019. It reflects the three main components of WHO reform: programmes and priorities, governance and management.
Health 2020 is the health policy framework for the European region. It aims to support action across government and society to significantly improve the health and well-being of populations, reduce health inequalities, strengthen public health and ensure people-centred health systems that are universal, equitable, sustainable and of high quality.
