The Ministry of Health of Cyprus is responsible for the organization of the health care system and the provision of state-financed health care services. The Council of Ministers has overall responsibility for the state’s role in the social protection and health care system. Overall, chronic diseases dominate communicable diseases. At the 2013 World Health Assembly, sustainable reform of the health system was the main focus of a bilateral meeting between WHO/Europe and the Ministry.

New path for health and human rights opens in Andorra

On 3 July 2017, Andorra inaugurated a 30-kilometre walking trail that spans the length of the country. Every kilometre along the path is marked by a sign representing one of the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, with more information available through a downloadable app.
