Pharmacists' contribution to public health in noncommunicable diseases: Budapest conference 29 June 2011

The Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, together with the Hungarian Committee of Pharmaceutical Care, the EuroPharm Forum, and the WHO Regional Office for Europe will organize a joint conference for decision makers on pharmacists' contribution to public health in noncommunicable diseases, on 29 June 2011, Budapest, Hungary.

Participants will include delegates from European Health ministries, European Pharmacy Associations and invited guests.

"Medication can be safer and offer more value to public health if pharmacists take more responsibility in the area of noncommunicable diseases." This statement invites participants to discuss and create Pharmacy Practice 2020.

The conference will focus on ways to improve efficacy, patient safety and costs, and demonstrate the value of pharmacists’ contribution to a better health for patients.
