Member States of South-eastern Europe to discuss health priorities of the subregion

Members of the South-eastern Europe Health Network (SEEHN) will come together at a Country Day devoted to the network on 9 March 2015 at the WHO Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen.

The Country Day aims to improve WHO/Europe’s interactions with and relevance for the Member States of the network. The objective is to build upon the ongoing collaboration and ensure a more coordinated approach to the opportunities that exist. It is designed to provide a forum for in-depth discussion on the health issues and priorities of the subregion, the importance of the network to WHO, and the technical programmes’ implementation in selected priority areas.

The participants will also discuss the issues faced by the subregion and the policy advice and targeted technical assistance from WHO/Europe that can address the network’s needs. They will address previous successes and future opportunities in working in and with the SEEHN at both strategic and operational levels.
