New long-term strategy to improve reproductive, maternal, child and adolescent health in Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan currently coordinates the development of national strategy and action plan on Improving Reproductive, Women, Child and Adolescent Health for 2014-2020 using WHO European child and adolescent health strategy and its evidence based tool as guidance. WHO/Europe technical programmes provide technical support for the national group in the strategy development process.

On 28 March, in Tashkent WHO/Europe staff will participate in a round table on the strategy development with all  relevant sectors and partners  to ensure a comprehensive approach and alignment with the WHO Health 2020 policy and its priority areas, including a life-course approach, promoting effective intersectorial action and enabling more representative participation.
