Why do young girls have unwanted pregnancies? A study from Finland compares the number of abortions performed between 1970-1980 by young girls, and looks at the impact of family backgrounds, sexual behavior and use of contraception. Results from a community health and family planning project in Turkey is summarized, and a joint workshops between WHO and the Centre national de Reproduction humaine et de Planification familiale of Morocco investigates how to improve the teaching-learning process of family planning for  medical students.
