New report: Second Conference on Quality in HIV Prevention in the European Region
The report from this meeting is now available. The conference was hosted by the group Improving Quality in HIV Prevention in Europe (IQhiv) - a joint initiative of WHO/Europe, the German Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA) and AIDS Action Europe - and held in Berlin, Germany, on 23-24 April 2012. There, the 60 plus participants from 20 countries used a highly interactive format to engage in discussions and small group work on a range of issues related to improving the quality of HIV prevention.
The report details how the conference aimed to raise the profile of quality improvement in HIV prevention among key stakeholders in Europe and further disseminate practical quality improvement tools. The report is available at a very opportune moment because the IQhiv initiative was recently approved for funding as an EU/EAHC and German Federal Centre for Health Education joint action. The core group of the initiative, including WHO/Europe, will meet once again in Berlin on 4th and 5th October, 2012 to work on a position paper and plan future activities.
