Call for applications to the Technical Advisory Group for Tuberculosis 2020–2021
WHO/Europe seeks a maximum of 5 new members to join the Technical Advisory Group for Tuberculosis (TAG-TB) for 2020–2021. TAG-TB was established in 2003 to provide independent review and technical advice on TB to the WHO Regional Director for Europe, particularly on areas related to TB prevention and care.
Applicants will be selected according to their technical expertise and work experience (see details below), as well as geographical distribution and gender balance. Members are selected on the basis of their individual expertise rather than their affiliation with an organization or institution.
Technical background and experience
TAG-TB members are individuals with substantial technical expertise and experience in areas related to TB and TB/HIV prevention and care, including:
- public health
- health systems
- medical products and technologies
- related communicable and noncommunicable diseases
- social sciences
- civil society.
How to apply
Interested individuals are invited to send their applications to the TAG-TB Secretariat (email@example.com) attaching their CV and a letter of motivation highlighting their experience and areas of expertise. A letter of support from the individual’s institution, where applicable, stating that the applicant will be allowed sufficient time to carry out TAG-TB responsibilities, will be requested for all short-listed candidates.
