The fourth Polio Outbreak Simulation Exercise (POSE IV) was held on 17–19 November 2015 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Its aim was to critically review and update national plans for responding to the detection of wild polioviruses and vaccine-derived polioviruses, in national and cross-regional contexts.

The WHO EpiBrief periodical report contains an overview and analysis of epidemiological data on selected vaccine-preventable diseases in the WHO European Region. The analysis is based on data cumulated over a specified period as reported by Member States to the WHO Regional Office for Europe. Measles, rubella, invasive bacterial diseases and acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) usually feature in these reports. Monthly surveillance data by country are also presented separately in WHO EpiData summary tables.
