Experts select indicators to monitor the implementation of commitments from the Parma Conference
At a WHO meeting, experts from 35 Member States and three international organizations selected a minimum set of indicators related to the five Parma Declaration commitments with specified deadlines for implementation. These 18 indicators provide information on exposures to environmental factors, health effects and policy actions.
Experts also scheduled the development of indicator methodologies, pilot testing and implementation of these indicators in the Environment and Health Information System (ENHIS), and specified communication mechanisms within the European Environment and Health Process.
The meeting was held on 25-26 November 2010 at the Bonn office of the WHO European Centre for Environment and Health.
