Informal consultation on WHO’s engagement with non-State actors

17–18 October 2013, Geneva, Switzerland

At its 133rd session, the Executive Board requested the WHO Director-General to organize an informal consultation on WHO’s engagement with non-State actors. As part of WHO reform, the consultation will inform the drafting of proposals to be submitted to the Executive Board in January 2014. The consultation will take place at WHO headquarters.


The consultation is open to Member States and non-State actors, which may participate in person or virtually via WebEx. Invitations have been sent by circular letter to all Member States and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in official relations with WHO. Other non-State actors are also welcome to register and requests will be examined on a case-by-case basis. Participants via WebEx can send questions or remarks by e-mail to be read in the consultation.
