Country conference on the Access to Opioid Medication in Europe (ATOME) project

19 February 2014 Vilnius, Lithuania

The ATOME project which WHO is involved in aims to improve access to opioids across Europe. A consortium of academic institutions and public health organizations work together to help governments, particularly in Eastern Europe, identifying and removing barriers that prevent people from accessing medicines that could improve end of life care, alleviate debilitating pain and treat heroin dependence.
