2015 annual meeting of Regions for Health Network (RHN)
14–15 October 2015, Milan, Italy
The 2015 annual meeting of Regions for Health Network (RHN) will take place as a pre-conference event to the 8th European Public Health (EPH) Conference. The annual meeting will be free of charge to RHN members and will be held from the afternoon of 14 October to midday 15 October, when the opening ceremony of the Conference is scheduled. RHN members who wish to attend the EPH Conference need to pay the Conference registration fee.
RHN's Steering Group decided to hold the annual meeting in conjunction with the EPH Conference in light of the many benefits.
- RHN members can network with the 2200 delegates expected at the Conference.
- Many RHN activities are intertwined with the Conference's theme of "Health in Europe– from global to local policies, methods and practices".
- RHN members regularly attend EPH, one of the most important public health forums in Europe.
- The opportunity to experience the vibrant atmosphere Milan will offer as host city of EXPO 2015.
RHN will organize a thematic workshop on participatory approaches to improve populations' health to be held during a parallel session of the Conference. RHN members are invited to submit their proposals for additional workshops at the Conference website. The submission deadline is 1 May. Details on the parallel sessions will be available once abstracts have been selected from mid-June.
More information will be posted on RHN's and the EPH Conference's websites.
The Conference will take place in conjunction with the 48th National Congress of the Italian Society of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health, creating the largest public health event in Europe. The location for the two conferences is the Milano Congressi centre (MiCO), just one Metro stop away from the city centre and the international fair EXPO Milano 2015.
