WHO

23–27 November 2015, St. Petersburg, Russian Federation

In September, 2015, WHO/Europe established a pool of regional mentors to assist laboratories implementing a Quality Management System (QMS). Two of the mentors that were trained have been partnered with the WHO-recognized National Influenza Centre at the Research Institute of Influenza in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. The first visit will take place between 23–27 November 2015.

The aim is to provide all staff with a short training in laboratory quality and to apply the WHO Laboratory Quality Stepwise Implementation tool towards ISO 15189 accreditation to identify components of the QMS for improvement during the mentoring program. This activity is supported by funds received through the Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Framework Partnership Contribution.
