Biosafety course for national influenza centres of central and eastern European countries

This 4-day biosafety course is organized by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in partnership with the Association of Public Health Laboratories, and in collaboration with the South East European Center for Surveillance and Control of Infectious Diseases and WHO/Europe.
The objective of the course is to present best practices and information to assist in the development of biosafety programmes within national influenza centres.
Course participants – laboratory managers and biosafety officers from 13 national influenza centres – will review and discuss laboratory biosafety and biosecurity practices through didactic lectures, hands-on exercises and practical demonstrations.
