Interregional workshop for tuberculosis (TB) control and care among refugee and migrant populations

10–11 May 2016, Catania, Italy

The objectives of the workshop are to:

• provide an updated overview of TB-relevant policies and practices, with special focus on migrant TB screening and cross-border collaboration;
• provide orientation on cost-effective TB screening;
• strengthen intercountry communication; and
• identify areas for further research and evidence building.

Representatives from 20 countries in the WHO European Region, 5 countries from the Eastern Mediterranean Region and 3 countries from the African Region will attend the workshop. The main international stakeholders on migration health and TB will also participate. The working language will be English.
