Next annual international course in the Anatomical, Therapeutic Chemical Classification/Defined Daily Dose Methodology
9–10 June 2016, Oslo, Norway
The course gives an introduction to the Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical (ATC) classification system and the technical unit of measurement, the Defined Daily Dose (DDD). Applications of the ATC/DDD methodology will be presented and discussed.
The registration deadline for the course is 20 May 2016. Please note that hotel reservations after 1 May 2016 cannot be made by the WHO Collaborating Centre for Drug Statistics Methodology.
The ATC/DDD system is as a tool for drug utilization research in order to improve the quality of drug use. One component of this is the presentation and comparison of drug consumption statistics at international and other levels. It is the WHO recommended international language for drug utilization monitoring and research.
