Fourth Global Forum on Human Resources for Health

13–17 November 2017, Dublin, Ireland

The Fourth Global Forum on Human Resources for Health will be held on 13–17 November 2017, in Dublin, Ireland, with the theme: building the health workforce of the future. The Forum welcomes representatives from the education, health, labour/employment and finance sectors. High-impact decision-makers, leaders and investors representing all stakeholder groups will gather to discuss and debate innovative approaches towards advancing the implementation of the Global Strategy on Human Resources for Health: Workforce 2030 and the recommendations of the United Nations High-Level Commission on Health Employment and Economic Growth.

At the Forum, WHO Europe will introduce the first version of a toolkit to support the framework for action towards a sustainable health workforce in the Region, which Member States adopted at the 67th session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe.

The toolkit provides structured access to strategies on human resources for health, planning tools, evidence and concrete case studies. It will be presented at a lunch session on 15 November, at 12:30–13:30, in Hall 6, Royal Dublin Society.

WHO experts will also be available during the other days of the Forum to answer questions.
