6th Prison Health Conference

26 and 27 March, Helsinki, Finland

Each year an international conference is held to discuss progress and share good practices with regards to the WHO Health in Prisons Programme (HIPP). HIPP is an international movement which aims to promote health and tackle health inequalities in correctional settings.

This year, WHO Regional Office for Europe, Public Health England and the Government of Finland have jointly organized an international conference on prison health, which will focus on “prison health systems: the interface with wider national health systems”. Participants will discuss public health measures, continuity of care, and how to ensure quality of services and capacity-building in health care.
