Evidence-informed policy-making

Also available in Russian, the enhanced Health Systems Evidence web site by the McMaster Health Forum, is now available

03-12-2012

Launched on 1 November 2012 at the Second Global Symposium on Health Systems Research, held in Beijing, China, the enhanced version of this repository now contains complete inventories of economic evaluations of health system reforms published since 2007, descriptions of health systems around the world, and descriptions of health system reforms. This is in addition to housing syntheses of research evidence about governance, financial and delivery arrangements within health systems, and about implementation strategies that can support change in health systems.

A comprehensive, free access point for high-quality evidence on health systems, the Health Systems Evidence (HSE) web site is a valuable resource for policy-makers, stakeholders and researchers seeking to address today’s most pressing health challenges. It provides answers on questions about how to strengthen or reform health systems, or how to get cost-effective programs, services and drugs to those who need them.

The Russian translation of the repository is supported by WHO/Europe, Division of Information, Evidence, Research and Innovation, and is also available through the EVIPNet Virtual Health Library, for which HSE has recently signed agreement with WHO/the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) for providing updated content for.
