What we do
Events
WHO/Europe arranges and participates in many meetings and conferences, and public health campaigns as part of its work to provide leadership on health matters in the European Region, shape the health research agenda, set norms and standards, describe evidence-based policy options, provide technical support to countries, and monitor and assess health trends.
The Region-wide, high-level events listed here include the annual meeting of the Region’s governing body (the WHO Regional Committee for Europe) and meetings of the Standing Committee of the Regional Committee. WHO/Europe also organizes public health campaigns for World Health Day and European Immunization Week in April each year, as well as many events that are part of the activities of technical programmes.
