Council of Europe
Protecting people, whoever they are, wherever they live, is a Council of Europe priority. Membership of the Council of Europe presupposes the obligation for states to ensure their people’s prerogative to basic human rights, and among such basic rights is the right to health protection.
Council of Europe Development Bank
The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) is a multilateral development bank with a social vocation. Established on 16 April 1956 in order to bring solutions to the problems of refugees, its scope of action has progressively widened to other sectors of action directly contributing to strengthening social cohesion in Europe.
European Commission
The European Union is required by its founding treaty to ensure that human health is protected as part of all its policies, and to work with the EU countries to improve public health, prevent human illness and eliminate sources of danger to physical and mental health. The EU's strategy for protecting and improving human health is chiefly implemented through European Commission health programmes.

The Health and Consumers Directorate-General is pleased to present the Health-EU Portal (the official public health portal of the European Union) and the wide range of information and data on health-related issues and activities at both European and international level.
Northern Dimension Partnership in Public Health and Social Well-being
The Northern Dimension is a policy framework for cooperation involving the EU, its Member States and partner countries Iceland, Norway and Russia. It aims at providing a common platform for promoting dialogue and concrete cooperation as well as strengthening stability and promoting economic integration, competitiveness and sustainable development in Northern Europe.
International Organization of Migration
An intergovernmental organization established in 1951, IOM is committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits migrants and society.
WHO Collaborating Centres
The WHO collaborating centres form part of an institutional collaborative network set up by WHO to support its technical work. They provide services to WHO at the country, regional and global levels, and are involved in technical cooperation for national health development. The European Region is fortunate to have two collaborating centres dedicated to public health services.
