Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 in the European Region
On 10 August 2010, WHO Director-General Dr Margaret Chan announced that the H1N1 influenza virus had moved into the post-pandemic period. However, she cautioned, localized outbreaks of various magnitudes are likely to continue.
