Vaccines and immunization

EIW background

European Immunization Week (EIW) is a regional initiative, led and coordinated by WHO/Europe and implemented by Member States to address their particular immunization-related issues. Partner organizations, including the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), contribute at the regional and national levels. EIW aims to help Member States advance plans to ensure universal immunization by using the power of advocacy and targeted communication to boost awareness and increase the success of immunization programmes. These efforts aim to reach people who have not been immunized or did not receive all needed vaccinations.
