WHO/Europe, with the assistance of World Health Communication Associates, supports the World Health Youth (WHY) Environment and Health Communication Network. Its objective is to catalyse the involvement of young journalists from European countries in the environment and health process, thus developing capacity, enhancing the quality and quantity of coverage, and building sustainable communications across the WHO European Region.
How to join
Young journalists (aged 18–30 years) are invited to join the Network by sending a letter of interest and curriculum vitae to WHO/Europe (press.he@ecr.euro.who.int).
Network members receive exclusive briefings, information and contacts for their reporting on the environment and health in Europe.
The Network comprises about 70 journalists from 30 European countries (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Tajikistan, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Uzbekistan), the United States of America and Zimbabwe.
