Our members benefit from numerous services:
- advocating through pan-European networks and observations;
- cooperation on regional health systems and information development and evaluation;
- support for regions in accession states;
- links between regions in areas of common programmatic interest;

workshops and training sessions in a priority area organized at the regional level;

facilitated access to technical expertise (among our member regions and within WHO), particularly on improving health policy at the regional level;

access to health policy information at the regional level and from other RHN members; and

implementation of projects in timely topics with participation of RHN members.
These services are in line with the following aims, as stated in the RHN Membership Agreement:

to improve health policy at regional levels within Europe in line with the WHO policy;

to promote the transfer of knowledge and experience of health policy development at regional and local levels within Europe;

to encourage intersectoral action for health;

to explore alternative approaches to developing health policy at a regional and local level within Europe; and

and to examine the balance of resources that is desirable at the regional level, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.
