Hospitals or institutions can join the project by  becoming members of their National/regional networks through contacting the respective national coordinator
Where a national/regional network does not exist or you are located outside the WHO European Region, please contact the secretariat.

A health promoting hospital should:

• endorse the fundamental principles and strategies for implementation of the Vienna Recommendations;
• comply with the rules and regulations established at the international and national/regional levels
• contribute to the coordination of the project with a small agreed membership fee
• complete the hospital and project questionnaires
• sign a "letter of intent"

A membership certificate will be issued once registration and payment of fee are completed.
