8th WHO National TB Programme Managers Meeting, Wolfheze Workshop and National TB Surveillance Correspondents Meeting organized jointly by KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation, WHO and ECDC

Duration and location

1 - 4 June 2008 at The Hague, Netherlands

Scope and purpose

  1. To review The Berlin Declaration on Tuberculosis and make recommendations on how to enhance its use as advocacy tool.
  2. To review the Plan to Stop TB in 18 High-priority Countries in the WHO European Region, 2007-2015, and identify main steps towards its implementation at country, sub-regional and regional levels.
  3. To discuss the Framework Action plan to fight TB in the European Union and make recommendations for its implementation and monitoring of implementation.
  4. To review most updated and controversial interventions for TB control and elimination in TB low TB prevalence settings.
  5. To understand the new organizational set-up for coordination and assistance of TB surveillance in the Region and agree on future actions.
